TL;DR
- Petpooja: best for 1-3 outlet QSRs and casual-dining. Cheapest start, deep aggregator integration, India-first.
- UrbanPiper: best if you start aggregator-heavy and add dine-in later. Strong middleware for Zomato/Swiggy, cleaner API.
- Posist (Restroworks): best for 5+ outlet chains and hotel F&B. Strong analytics, full ERP feel, priciest of the three.

Support coverage
Petpooja has the largest field-support footprint in India — they will physically reach a Tier-2 outlet for hardware faults. UrbanPiper is remote-only but quick. Posist offers tiered support; the higher tier is materially better and matches the price.
Which one for which format?
- Single outlet QSR or cloud kitchen: Petpooja or UrbanPiper. Petpooja if you start dine-in heavy; UrbanPiper if 80%+ of orders will be aggregator.
- Casual-dining (1-3 outlets): Petpooja. Posist becomes worth it at 4+ outlets.
- Multi-outlet chain (5+ outlets): Posist. The multi-outlet console alone justifies the price differential.
- Hotel F&B: Posist (with PMS bridge), or specialised hotel POS like IDS Next + Opera.
What none of them do well
Forecasting tomorrow's covers, weather + festival impact, supply-chain risk. POS systems are great at recording yesterday — they aren't built to plan tomorrow. That's where Forkcast sits. Forkcast pulls POS data from any of the three, layers calendar + weather + supply signals, and turns it into a daily operating brief.
