Working Capital

Cash needed to fund daily operations between revenue and expense.

Definition

Working capital = current assets − current liabilities. Restaurants need 30–45 days of working capital because aggregators pay T+7 to T+14 while vendors demand cash or 3-day credit. Catering needs 60+ days because event payment is staged.
