Wholesale market price of an agricultural commodity at a specific APMC mandi.
Definition
Mandi price is the per-quintal or per-kg wholesale rate quoted at an APMC (Agricultural Produce Market Committee) yard. Restaurant ingredients move on mandi prices with a small mark-up — this is why the Agmarknet feed is a leading indicator for ingredient cost.
